With your support, we can continue to move forward.
Brookfield is a beautiful place to live and raise a family. We are a caring community, with good schools and services for everyone, from our recreational facilities for children to the new Senior Center. Brookfielders are generous with their time and talents, serving on town commissions and in organizations that make life good here in our corner of Connecticut. We need leaders who will protect our quality of life and maintain facilities. For this reason I am seeking a second term as your Selectman.
During these past two years, our administration has successfully brought the community together through:
- Supporting funding education at responsible levels.
- Securing funding to replace Kid's Kingdom.
- Completing the new and expanded Senior Center
- Implementing a 5-year road improvement plan
These are just a few of the many things you see every day in our community. Some of the other things you may not see are:
- Merit pay for town employees, doing away with across the board raises regardless of performance.
- New contracts with unions that limit future increases in employment costs.
- Increased use of town technology capabilities to increase communication, view and pay tax bills and more.
- Televised live Board of Selectmen meetings to increase transparency of government.
There is still more to do, to make sure we maintain and improve our quality of life.
- Bring water to the southern part of Federal Road
- Develop a realistic and practical plan for development of the Town Center District (Four Corners).
- Finalize a long-term facilities plan for a new library, community and recreation center and sports fields
- Implement long-term financial plans that build on what we have accomplished and preserve our fiscal strength.
My experience as a Selectman, my professional accomplishments as a corporate CFO, Controller, Treasurer and small business entrepreneur, enable me to help our First Selectman build on our accomplishments, while maintaining a close vigil on expenses and taxes.
